The Royal Government of Cambodia’s Ministry of Rural Development has developed the National Strategic Plan on Rural Water Supply Sanitation and Hygiene (RWSSH) 2014 - 2025. This National Strategic Plan priorities water supply, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) service development for the poor states that WASH projects and programs will consider the needs of persons with disabilities throughout all stages of their project/program cycles and include Disabled People Organisations in any consultation process, committee or advisory board.The guideline on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) for Persons with Disabilities and Older people is developed to support the implementation of commitments to inclusion made in the National Strategic Plan and ensure that provision of WASH services conforms to the Royal Government of Cambodia Law on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Convention on the Right of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
