Management of Heat Stress and Related Illness: a Guide for Policy Makers and Managers

This work has been compiled from variety of sources and is a guide for policy makers and managers on Heatwave being a potential public health hazard. The guide suggests that emerging evidence advocate systematic planning, development of heat health warning system, capacity building of key stakeholders and effective inter-sectoral coordination could reduce heat related risks to a great extent. It is important that public health measures and advise on how to avoid negative health outcomes associated with extreme heat wave conditions are communicated in advance.
