Inter-Agency Guiding Principles on Unaccompanied and Separated Children

The "Inter-Agency Guiding Principles on Unaccompanied and Separated Children" (2004) resource is the result of a joint effort of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Save the Children UK (SCUK), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and World Vision International (WVI). These Guiding Principles are intended primarily for national, international and non-governmental organizations and other associations concerned with separated children. They are also designed to assist governments and donors in meeting their obligations and taking funding decisions. This publication was prepared by a number of leading humanitarian organizations on the basis of their combined field experience and the relevant provisions of international law.  For further information please visit https://www.refworld.org/docid/4113abc14.html, to read further on the topic.
