These guidelines offer a holistic approach that aims at improving fire safety for communities. This resource explains how valuable a multi-sectoral approach is in addressing the variety of needs a fire disaster provokes: reducing the risk of ignition, providing early warning systems, having community involvement, having well- resourced and well-prepared fire departments, reducing the combustible nature of homes, and many other similar factors.
