Excessive screen use and gaming during COVID-19

This infographic was designed to address the vulnerability of Young people when associated with the harmful effects of excessive screen use and gaming including unhealthy sedentary lifestyles, exposure to harmful content (violent or sexual), misinformation about COVID-19, cyberbullying, development of gaming disorder, or engagement in online gambling. It includes what relevant stakeholders (like parents, school authorities, health and social care providers, digital companies and policy makers) can do to combat these harmful effects.

This resource is part of a Collection of similar guidelines entitled "Combatting Cyberbullying during COVID-19", and it is included in the series of Collections supporting response to Covid-19 outbreak. Collections are monitored daily and new content is added.
