Terms & Conditions
1. About us
www.humanitarianlibrary.org is a website operated by Shelter Centre and funded primarily by USAID.
The Humanitarian Library is a community resource for the global humanitarian community. Most of the library's content is put there by the library's users themselves. Users are encouraged to promote the use of the library among others in the global humanitarian community and to upload content they believe to be useful to others in the community. The uploading of irrelevant content is to be avoided. Users are encouraged to like and promote content (promoting content requires a trusted account, which can be requested from your profile page) in order to give an indication of the document's quality to other users. A low popularity rating indicates a resource's low relevance. Such content shall nonetheless remain in the library. For content which is entirely inappropriate or offensive, users are encouraged to report the offending resource to the site administrator, who will then decide if it should be removed from the library. Users who upload offensive material will lose the privilege of sharing documents within the library.
Unless otherwise stated the terms "we" and "us" refer to "Humanitarian Library" and you may be referred to as "the user".
