Camp Planning and Management

The "Camp Planning and Management" Collection includes documents of guidance, standards and training materials is intended to support the planning and management of open camps established in response to both natural disasters and complex emergencies, understanding that camps should be established only as part of a comprehensive shelter and settlement strategy, involving explorations of alternatives to camps.

Mitigating Environmental Impacts In Camps

 This collection contains reports, case studies, articles and guidelines related to the environmental impact of camp settlements. It offers guidance on shelter and settlement programming and camp management, in both French and English. Current guidance comes from leading organisations: Cirad-Agritrop la recherche agronomique, Groupe Urgence Réhabilitation Développement (Groupe URD),  Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), Tropical Agriculture Association (TAA), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
