Free Online Courses and Training about Safety, Security and Staff Care

This collection provides guidelines, reports and manuals on diverse safety and security challenges faced by aid workers in risky environments and how to overcome them. The collection aims to help humanitarian actors in referring and forming their own security risk management framework so as to reduce the threats and insecurity in disaster-affected regions. The resources demonstrate across different types and levels of security environments and risk patterns one could observe during their activities in humanitarian assistance, and consequent strategies and solutions which aid workers adopt to be safe in such environments  and functionally continue with their activities.These resources were published by leading organisations such as CARE International, Global Interagency Security Forum (GISF), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Insecurity Insight, Irish Aid, Save the Children, United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) and World Health Organization (WHO).
